This shouldn't be a surprise. Kids are clueless.
They think they know everything in terms of how to use the Internet as a research tool and yet they lack the know-how to effectively use search engines.
They don't even use class websites properly. It makes me wonder why I even bother to spend all this time keeping up a class website when only 3-4 students actually use it.
Anyway... I added a meebo widget on the wiki so that kids can chat with me from the website or leave me messages or something so maybe that'll attract students to the site, but I have my reservations. Whatever, they probably don't care.
