Here's an interesting program. It is a digital nature guide that you can install onto your computer.
You can also download local files on regional plant and animal life so if you have the right equipment out in the field, you can quickly and accurately identify different plants and animals.
I don't think there's much of a classroom use for this other than teaching students to categorize the plants and animals but I thought it's an interesting resource to have.
