The National Science foundation funded a project on teaching resources for molecular sciences... Of course... But this one is pretty awesome.
I have not been adding much in the chemistry area but this would make an excellent teaching supplement for any chemistry class, especially with the abstract concepts of bonding forces and such. They also have a lot of materials for biology but I figure that there's a lot of emphasis on molecular aspects of biology so chemistry is probably the most suitable class for this material...
Granted, this material is probably too advanced for most students, it never hurts to have an ace up your sleeve in terms of advanced topics. I'll probably get a genetics class to look at the transcription and translation stuff...
In some aspects of the program, you can have students create reports and have the reports saved or printed out for submission. It's pretty awesome. I'll consider getting these installed on school computers for widespread use in the classrooms...
The site has been added to Chemistry as NSF Program - Molecular Logic.
Enjoy and good luck!
