Steve Harvey

You have to admire Mr. Harvey's "moral integrity." He stands by his position that atheists are absent of moral barometers. For him to describe advocacy of discriminatory behavior towards his fellow man (regardless of their faith) is astonishing and the fact that he borders on eugenics by theology is quite the position to place oneself in.

Mr. Harvey should have an intellectual discussion with an atheist/agnostic before condemning them to die out as single entities who bear no children or who shall never raise families of their own. Basic biology or even human history would easily conquer Mr. Harvey's suggestion of "breeding an idea out of a species," it just can't be done.

I suppose I am a little disappointed that he took such an open and public position in this regard but I'd gladly invite him to an open discussion to clarify that a moral barometer is not necessarily something you learn from a Bible, but from good and sound parenting (which does not require Church). There are plenty of young men out there who are religious and are terrible to their fellow man. Has religion saved them from each other? No. Is going to Church a cause of their misbehavior? No, but you don't hear people making that fallacious argument, you only hear the religious make that argument. So spare me this notion that atheists or agnostics are people who cannot be saved or are "not worth the time" Mr. Harvey, because you've yet to get to know anybody who doesn't fit your cookie-cutter model for society.

It's funny that there is so much oppression by very notable "believers" who never openly admit that they have never known any significant number of atheists or agnostics. So one has to wonder what they are basing their measurement of a person's moral character on. As a black comedian one would hope that Mr. Harvey would not partake in the ongoing oppression of a silent, yet growing minority.
