If you love free software and are tired of paying up the ass for Microsoft programs, there are free alternatives to buying expensive productivity suites.
The one I have been using is OpenOffice by Sun Microsystems.
The new one that has emerged from Oracle (they acquired Sun Microsystems last year) is called LibreOffice.
After my Ubuntu computer updated from version 10 to version 11, it automatically updated my productivity suite to LibreOffice and replaced OpenOffice. Haven't really found much of a noticeable difference between them, they are essentially the same in function and design.
Enjoy and I hope you guys enjoy ripping off Microsoft by replacing all your processing needs to open source, free, software. I know I do.
