CNN: Recession Effects on Education

The American Association of School Administrators:
After conducting a poll of K-12 administrators, 30% have reported staff layoffs.

The University of Washington:
There are predictions and projections that through 2010, there will be 325,097 lost K-12 jobs, which includes 166,571 teachers.

Gallup.com:
Parents who were polled about educational reform... They found that approximately 6% of parents believe that more money is the best way to improve education.

I guess it's not that bad for me as a teacher of a high demand subject area...
