This site, "fundies say the darndest things," or fstdt.com has really been shocking to me.
I can't even comprehend how ridiculously naive some of these individuals are.
I wouldn't normally give this site the additional publicity, but I think as science educators, it's important that you identify what you don't want to see in your students.
I have seen similar reasoning in several of my students, which has a negative effect on their work ethic in my science classes. Granted, very few of my students have aspirations in becoming scientists, the opposition in the form of these fundamentalist groups of idiots is a bit scary to me.
** Read at your own discretion. It can be a bit overwhelming at first.
