The BBC has a couple of audio slide shows about The Art of Math and about Autumn's Beauty.
I thought the art of math show this was actually really cool. I know it's not really a part of the sciences, however when it comes to pattern recognition in nature, this could prove to be pretty useful. They also discuss the dynamic mathematical systems that govern gravitational forces and planetary motion.
There's a lot of really cool designs shown and they're based on basic mathematical principles. One of the images was based entirely on a simple quadratic formula. It's quite remarkable.
The narrator's explanation sort of feeds the notion that the complexities of life and the complex patterns of nature and the universe are based on dynamic mathematical systems. That's some pretty heavy discussion...
In terms of the Autumn slide show, I thought it was a vivid description of the colorful changes that take place in the season transition towards winter. The narrator briefly goes into some depth discussing the influence of the weather on the plant life.
The math link has been added to Physics/Earth Science as BBC - The Art of Math. The autumn link has been added to Biology as BBC - Autumn's Beauty.
Enjoy and good luck!
