National Geographic

I recently ordered a yearlong subscription to National Geographic. I love their photographs and their articles on various global issues.

I would highly recommend educators to consider a subscription to a publication such as Nat Geo since it is so cheap and it's really interesting and personally useful in your own development. I'm planning to use some of the enclosed maps and images to illustrate concepts to my students this year. But I'll play it by ear as I get each month's publication.

$15 for a year?! That's a steal, don't let it slip away!! Totally worth it. I'm actually considering ordering the complete digital copy of the past 120 years of National Geographic ($71 including delivery)... Good for teacher's Choice I suppose...

There are also lesson plans available. The link has been added to general interest as National Geographic - Lesson Plans. They also have an interesting website, My Wonderful World which happens to be an educator's resource. The link has been added to general interest as National Geographic - My Wonderful World.

Enjoy and good luck!
