The National Library of Medicine has a section of their website dedicated towards the history of medicine.
I don't think my students in particular would be too interested in this area of science but it's an interesting perspective to introduce to students to compare the anatomical understanding of the 1920's to their current understanding of anatomy and physiology.
Use this site at your own risk, it seems a bit too much. I'd probably save this sort of lesson material for a student I knew could handle a historical and scientific analysis. But you never know, maybe you can create a yearlong curriculum from this material (the last time I saw this sort of material was at a medical conference).
The link has been added to biology as NIH - History of Medicine.
Enjoy and good luck!
