Holiday Lectures!!

It's a pleasure to invite you to watch the premiere of the 2009 Holiday Lectures, Exploring Biodiversity: The Search for New Medicines, featuring Bonnie L. Bassler, Ph.D., HHMI Investigator at Princeton University and Baldomero M. Olivera, Ph.D., HHMI Professor at the University of Utah. In four lively talks, Drs. Bassler and Olivera will discuss how their studies of bacterial communication and venomous marine snails are leading to the development of new medicines and treatments.

Log on to www.holidaylectures.org on December 3 and 4 at 10:00 a.m. ET to view the live webcast, which will feature 3D animations as well as supporting video clips and live demonstrations. The lectures will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET both days and will be re-webcast at 10 and 12 PT for our west coast audience.

Several options exist for those of you who miss the live lectures. After the live events, the lectures will be available by on-demand webcast at the Holiday Lectures website, and DVDs and video podcasts will be available in the Spring of 2009. DVDs and video podcasts of many past lectures are currently available.

We look forward to seeing you online!
