My days are numbered...

Bloomberg in his infinite wisdom has issued his marching orders to the DOE. His orders essentially state that schools in the bottom 10% of the entire city are subject to phasing out or closure.

What can small schools like us do with a group of kids who actually fall in the bottom 10% as confirmed by their PSAT's, Regents, RCT's, Scantron Testing, and any other forms of diagnostic assessment that we use? Last time I checked, I'm not a miracle worker...

Today, after a circus of administrators and suits walked around the campus all day, they early-dismissed our kids and called an emergency faculty meeting.... We're getting phased out.

There is no rhyme or reason for it, it's just a political punchline that the ignorant public believe validates the "quality" of an education in NYC. What the hell do you accomplish by shutting down 1 in every 10 schools in NYC?

I have a message for Bloomberg and Klein that's been emphasized on Z100 many a times, "I wish diarrhea upon you!"
