This year's January exam essentially covered all or most of the material that I emphasized since September.
I have gotten better at predicting what sorts of questions and what concept and content they need to know prior to taking the test. Though some students have issues with what questions are specifically asking for, they've definitely done better than I had expected...
I am either a really good guesser on what the test will cover or I'm just really lucky. The kids who took their exam this time around passed with very small margins.
I can't help but wonder what the rest of this week will look like... It doesn't seem like they're going to extend this week's regents exams since other schools upstate didn't get school closures. But it wouldn't be fair to the tens of thousands of students in the city who could graduate this month to wait until June to retake a test because of a snow day.
Only time will tell... On a personal note, I am sore as hell after shoveling my car out of the snow this morning. I think there was like 800 pounds of snow on or immediately around my car.
